78 jeep CJ7 (before wrangler) V8 Small block Chevy 350ci, Brand new carburetor , 3 speed Chrysler 727 automatic transmission, fiberglass tub, hood/fenders, windshield frame.Mileage since motor swap is 15-18k miles original hard top Heater blower motor and fan replacement, replaced the non-reclining aftermarket seats with seats from a 94 YJ, pulled the “custom roll cage” out and put in a 94 YJ family cage with the spreader bars. I found some original steel doors and I have them but they have not been painted or mounted yet.I’ll list off the mods I know have been done:V8 small block Chevy (converted to carbureted)Dual straight pipes.Chrysler Torqueflite A727 3 speed automatic transmissionFiberglass double walled tub, fiberglass hood and fenders combo, fiberglass windshield frame.Frame is in excellent shape and is boxed for extra strengthFront axle is from a 70’s international scout and is a Dana 30Rear axle is a 78 dana 30Power steering is a remanufactured from a scout and the pump is from a Silverado, this has been relocated above the frame (common mod for extra ground clearance up front)Twin stick dana 300 transfer case32 inch tiresFront spring shackle relocationHeater blower motor brand new along with fan.Front seats and brackets from a 94 YJ, I have the rear seat that matches these, not installed, original back seat installed currentlyYJ family roll bar with spreader bars, front seat belts from 94 YJ. (rear shoulder belts can now be installed, lap belts currently)I have lots of extra bolts and some MISC parts that can all come with. Including fabric half doors and steel full doors, I also have full OE soft doors for use with a soft top. One door handle on the full soft doors will need to be replaced but the windows are in great shape and very clear. It’s an absolute riot to drive, runs great. the paint isnt perfect, there are a couple small runs and some orange peel here and there. No a/c, no ABS, no sway bars. The hard top will need to be lined up with the windshield when the doors are mounted, works fine as is with the soft half doors.Point is it runs great as is and doesn't need anything, with a little time and effort you could have something really nice, build a serious trail rig, make it really clean and take it to shows or just drive it. Totally up to the buyer, jeeps are just fun to make your own. The interior is very basic no carpet no radio Again the car is mechanically sound runs and drives great only a few things need to be fixed like One of the locks on the back latch broke. One of the side mirrors will need to be reinstalled it was installed backwards |
