| This is a 1978 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am WS6 W72. PHS documented. Modifications limited to replacing original 400 CID (6.6 L) block with a 455 CID (7.5 L), 1979 Rear Disc Brakes added to original 3.42 Posi Rear, and "Shaker" hood scoop made functional (solenoid opened flapper controlled by throttle position). Aprox. 2,000 miles on Tires, Rebuilt Engine and Transmission. Cylinders are .030 " over and rotating assembly balanced. Options include T-Tops, Air Conditioning, Tilt Steering, Remote Mirror, Heated Rear Window (defogger) AM/FM 8 track, Power Windows, Power Locks, and Power Trunk Release. Has modern low restriction Catalytic Converter (otherwise all emissions controls are original and operational), recently passed California "smog check". New Fuel Tank, Exhaust, Front Seat Upholstery. Door Panels, Package Shelf, Dash Cover, Carpet, Headliner and all rubber weatherstrips etc. Replaced original 85 MPH speedometer with a 160 MPH unit from an earlier Firebird. Rust free car, originally from Oregon, but in California since the 1980's. | |
