| 1970 Ford Fairlane 500 Resto-mod VEHICLE DESCRIPTION The 1970 Ford Fairlane 500, better known as the Fairlane Fastback was built as a project car for Hod Rodding Magazine. It was featured in over 13 issues and used as one of three calendar cars. Featuring a stroked 408ci Windsor block with aluminum heads and Holly Terminator fuel injection putting out 552HP through a custom 2.5” exhaust with electric cut outs. All that power passes through a Tremec Magnum 6-speed manual transmission to a Ford 9" Rear Axle stuffed with Strange gears/axles. The engine is also dressed with polished Billet brackets and pulleys for the serpentine drive. Vintage heat and A/C for your driving enjoyment. To handle all that power, the car is fitted with adjustable Ridetech coil over the front suspension with sway bar, as well as Ridetech adjustable 4 link coil overs in the rear tied subframe to keep it all solid. A 6 piston “Big” Baer brake kit was installed in all four corners with 14” rotors upfront and 13” rotors in the rear. A custom set of massive 18” two piece Forgeline alloy rims - 10” wide in the front and 12” wide in the rear. Inside you will find a custom tiger cage by Ridetech with 5 point harnesses for both driver and passenger, a Momo steering wheel and a custom set of Ford racing gauges will monitor all the vitals. The attention to detail put into making this car set up to not only handle at the track, but you can drive it everyday if you so desire. It is an awesome build!
