I recently acquired this Buick from an older gentlemen who owned it for years and meticulously maintained her. She has her original straight 8 engine that runs excellent. Shifts through the gears effortlessly. Still has the 6 volt charging system. Was restored some years back. I would categorize her as a " very nice driver". There are some minor touch ups in the paint here and there, but is quite presentable. Beautiful interior. Has a power top that works but is 80 years old and is slow and needs a little help going up. Excellent car for parades, local car shows or just cruising.Recent work done:New top with boot coverNew batteryNew carburetorNew fuel pumpNew electronic ignitionNew wiresNew gas tankNew Coker wide white wallsNew brake lines and brakesNew InteriorNew starterShe will need a new clutch eventually as it slips under hard acceleration. It's fine under normal driving conditions. It's for this reason I am setting the reserve far below the market value of this rare Buick. 4804 Buick convertibles were produced in 1940. She drives down the road very nice, like floating on air!. The underside is very clean with no rust or repairs anywhere. Just a nice solid Buick that you can drive without worries. I have a title in the previous owners name. Maine does not issue titles on vehicles of this age. Will be sold with registration in my name and a bill of sale. Can assist with shipping. |
