ADDITIONAL HIGH RESOLUTION PHOTO ALBUM:FOR SALE; A super gorgeous 1970 Boss 302 that was ordered and sold through Bill Ellis Ford Rialto California. Still has the CA mandatory vapor emissions recovery system mounted in the trunk. This Boss was ordered all business and no frills having the super desirable and rare factory optional 3:91 traction-lok posi rear end. This Boss has the kind of history you want to see: First owner owned it from NEW when he took delivery late in 1969 until 1987 when a Shelby/Boss MCA judge convinced him to sell it to him and he proudly became the second owner. When the second owner acquired it, this Boss only had 60K original miles and was still in all original condition including original paint and interior and was 100% rust free and collision free with a mint all original body and original interior. To this day, this Boss presents to be as straight and rust free as the day it rolled off the assembly line possessing all of it's original body panels, floor pans, torque boxes, frame rails, perfect spot welds, etc plus much of it's original interior parts, and a lot of rare specialized Boss and NOS parts that you would pay a small fortune for today. The second owner by the mid 90's treated the perfect Boss body to an outstanding high quality paint job and detailed the interior, engine bay, and undercarriage complete with assembly line markings for show duty. Some areas of the Boss like the original floor pans, under the dash and misc areas in the trunk still have original paint showing. The engine is 100% correct having correct casting numbers, casting date, and assembly date which is rare to find in a Boss. It has the correct Boss oil pan and intake. Even the water pump is an NOS factory Ford unit and has the correct D00E-D casting numbers. All the pulleys and mounting brackets are original Ford Mo Co. The second owner also installed NOS items that he found in the late 80's like original NOS Ford radiator hoses, NOS fan belt, NOS starter relay, etc...so the really costly big ticket items that are hard to obtain are pretty much present. In the mid 2000s, the second owner sold the Boss and it has been in high end collections since. I personally have had this Boss approx 5 years and it runs exceptionally well as I had the motor pro-built by a established Ford Racing small block specialist who balanced, blueprinted and enhanced the Boss motor with solid lifter roller cam and valve train along with .20 over custom pistons plus MSD ignition and couple other minor bolt-on performance items which take the already potent high performance motor to a whole nother performance level. The stock exhaust was just recently replaced with a full 2 1/2" exhaust with cross-over "X" pipe and free flowing race mufflers which really unleash the power this Boss motor produces. I don't think you will find a better sorted and running Boss 302 anywhere and this Boss motor jumps to life the second the key is turned, sounds totally awesome, and is more durable/reliable/powerful than in stock form. This Boss I am sure will not disappoint even the pickiest of car enthusiasts as it is highly detailed and tuned. While it is not a $125K MCA trailered concourse gold champion, it is actually pretty close and would not take much to get there if that is the goal. I wanted a Boss that could win shows, wow crowds, as well as could be driven rather than trailered and this Boss met my goals perfectly. This is the best street driven Boss bordering on the top tier quality of a trailered concourse car as you will find and is priced to sell at a price that is below market to actually get sold. I recently moved from CA to GA and this Boss is now located approx 20 minutes north of Atlanta. I welcome you to come see this spectacular Boss in person. Just make contact with me for arrangements 6 two 6 6 zero 2 4 0 five 4. My new GA home has limited garage space and life changes since I am now getting closer to my mid sixties are the reason I have decided to sell this incredible Boss. I may entertain an interesting trade+cash for something with an automatic trans (maybe a convertible with A/C) and is suitable that I can take my multitudes of grandkids for rides in, either late model or collector car. I am marketing this vehicle for sale through other avenues so I reserve the right to remove it from ebay if it gets sold elsewhere. The vehicles warranty ran out a long time ago so it is being sold as is and no warranty is implied. ADDITIONAL HIGH RESOLUTION PHOTO ALBUM: |
