Up for sale once again is one of the nicestVolkswagen buses on the planet ( a.k.a "Green Envy"). Had a buyer who couldn't come up with the money. This real deal German VW 13 window deluxe walk thru bus is not a 1968Brazilian Bus or cloned deluxe bus. It’sthe real deal and the registration numbers prove it. I am the second owner of thiswest coast bus and have restored numerous vehicles. The ground up restoration of this vehicle istoo numerous to list, but I will give it a shot. This bus had little or no rust orrot from the start and what little there was, I replaced with metal patchpanels. It was taken down to bare metal, hadprofessional body work and a custom paint job with custom lime green gold andpearl-white three-stage paint and multiple layers of clear. The paint job andbody work alone was $25,000.00.The whole suspension was droppedand the front end was narrowed to accommodate custom 17” aluminum rims andtires. Wilwood disk brakes were added up front, and I installed a rebuilt motorwith twin carbs, an oil cooling system and custom exhaust, new German clutch and flywheel and a Rancho freewayflyer overdrive tranny.I installed a custom green interior, headliner and carpet to resemble the patterns and feels of the original VWinteriors as well as a custom stainless steel and wood baggage tray in the rearof the vehicle.I removed the fried egg blinkersfrom the front of the vehicle and cut, shaved and tucked in the rear and frontbumpers. I also removed the original tail lights and installed 1959 bus taillights for a cleaner appearance while maintaining the original vintage feel. I added pop out windows to the two back side windows and chromed all the side windows as well. I also added front and rear pop outs and a Westphalia stainless steel luggage roof rack. It has a new wiring harness and all electrical components have been restore or replaced with new components. All handles, cover plates, brackets, glass, nuts and bolts have been refinished or replaced with new. This bus is a labor of love thattook me five years to complete with attention to every detail. It’s kept in aclimate-controlled garage and has been lovingly used over the last couple ofyears and still looks as good as the day I finished it. It’s a breathtakingly beautiful, dependable and road worthy bus, withmodern upgrades making it easy and a pleasure to drive in modern traffic and athigh speeds. This bus is a jaw-dropping crowd pleaser that generates smiles andcrowds wherever you go and kills it at car shows ready to be enjoyed by its next owner. As is where is. Will help with shipping. Also willing to trade but only interested in 356 Porsche, 1935 or 1936 ford 3 window or roadster. Please call me with any questions631-445-1850 from 830 am- 8 pm Eastern Standard Time. Thanks. Dan New message from: work Hi Dan.a10,,I saw this bus at a local show this weekend. Someone told me you were selling it on Ebay (pics don't do it any justice). If i didn't have my share of projects already this bus would be sitting in my garage. Unfortunately I wasn't able to locate or speak with you about it. I left before the end of the show so i didn't know if you won any awards. The craftsmanship and attention to detail was second to none and not to mention the attention it got, so i can only imagine what you brought home.
