CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
**NO Trades...cash only, please**Here it is Mopar fans......an original, FC7 plum crazy purple, big block 440, E-Body Convertible that's well documented! The fender tag and broadcast sheet tell the story once you check the codes. Yep....a real JH27 convertible that was plum crazy purple from the factory. These cars are RARE. With only 27,000 Challengers produced in 1971, only 1,800 of them were convertibles! And I've been told less than 100 were factory original plum crazy purple. This car lived its first 30 years in California and it shows....no rust anywhere. Although true Mopar fans know there were no RT convertibles produced in 1971, this car performs even better than advertised originally advertised. Why....because although it was born with a small block (almost all convertibles built in 1971 were small blocks from the factory While only 170 got only a 383), the owner of this car installed a 1968 440ci block that's just hauls ass and sounds awesome!I'm a Mopar collector and I've had a bunch of different B and E bodies. This car is a great looking specimen that has its original broadcast sheet, fender tag, and is reliable. Simply put, this car is a high 2. I drive it....its not perfect, but it sounds awesome and looks great. Lots of thumbs up on every drive. Hit the key and it goes. Why is not a 1, because its not a perfect, garage queen....I take my family for cruises in it often. Here is a breakdown of a few areas of the car below:Driveline: 1968 440ci with 727 torqueflight and suregrip out back. I added TTI 3" exhaust and headers....sounds phenomenal and pulls like a freight train. We also upgraded to an 850 Holley carb that will snap your head back. After proper warm up, hit the throttle and hold on!Paint/Exterior: One repaint on this car 10 years ago. No dents, dings, nicks. Beautiful purple paint with the right black side stripes. New convertible top and boot have been replaced recently....in great shape...no issues there. Body: Fenders, quarters, and trunk are all straight and solid. Pictures speak for themselves. Proper space saver spare in place in the trunk, etc. Its all there, folks.Interior: Also a 2....in great shape. Carpet looks nice. Proper trim pieces all in place. Seats are all in good working condition, no wear or tears. Electrical: All lights and signals work. Even the door open chime works. Wheels/Tires: Nice, upgraded Magnum 500s with newer BF Goodriches. Good to go and ready to roll.Bottom line...this is a very nice cruiser that has won plenty of car shows. I don't have to sell the car, I'm simply making room for another awesome Mopar. I don't need help selling the car....so no need to ask. I also don't need to sell the car below market value. I will report phishing scams to the authorities. Now that all that stuff is our of the way, lets get you into this sweet ride. If you would like to put yourself in a beautiful, rare, convertible Mopar....this car's for you. Feel free to call or email with any questions. I am happy to set up an inspection of the car by appointment only. No tire kickers, please....real buyers only. I am happy to assist with shipping, but buyer is responsible for paying shipping costs and lining up the vendor.
