CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
Base Blazer in excellent condition. I have had it for a year, during that time I had the seats professionally rebuilt in original material and pattern. These are not the loose fitting covers that can be purchased from restoration part suppliers! 1978 was the first year of the flip and fold rear seat and it works as it should. I also replaced the starter, battery and cables, speedometer, serviced the engine and transmission and added new wheel opening moldings. The needle on the speedo was broken off so that is why I replaced it, the odometer was still working and read 117K miles. I did a compression check on the motor, the lowest hole was 123 PSI and the highest was 129 PSI with an overall average of 126. The motor, drive train and factory dual exhaust is original with the exception of the Edlebrock carb with manual choke, the rig runs great and shifts very smooth. With this compression the motor is obviously fresh, silicone can be seen on the intake and timing cover from the rebuild. The running gear and 4X4 all work great with no leaks and all lights and gauges work. The transfer case has been re-worked as well, silicone can be seen on all of the cover plates. The body on this Blazer is amazing with no rust or visual evidence that it has ever been wrecked. The underside of this rig is in great shape as well with only light surface rust that will clean up nicely. The paint is in excellent shape for its age but the hood and top of the cab have oxidation that red is famous for. Around the right rear wheel opening there is some chips in the paint, it looks like a tire chain came partially off at some time. There is a small dent in the right rear corner between the top and the tail light that can be seen in the picture. Also there is a very very slight wrinkle in the door skin just under the mirror on the driver's side that can be seen in the right light. The back glass in the tailgate has some scratches due to a worn weather strip and the dash pad has several cracks under the dash mat cover. The keys were lost when I purchased it so the ignition switch is new. I do not have the key to the doors or back window crank, an easy fix to remove a door lock and have a locksmith build a key. If you are looking for a clean Blazer you just found one! If you have any questions I can be reached at, seven two 0 two five four six 99 seven. Additional photos also available upon request. With regard to payment, a deposit of $1,000.00 by pay pal is required within 48 hours. The balance by wire transfer (preferred) or cash within seven days. The balance can be paid with pay pal but an additional 3% will be required on the remaining balance, that is their fee not mine. Cashiers check may be an option, they are scary and take so much time for the funds to clear. The rig or the title will not leave until all funds have been received and secured.Shipping is the buyers responsibility, I will gladly assist with the pickup and getting it loaded and on the way. The Blazer is located 45 minutes north of Denver CO.
