Selling my 1971 AMC Javelin, this isthe short history story on this AMC, the original owner had this carsitting in his garage for over 20 years his neighbor bought it fromhim did a some work to it then sold it to the third owner who had itpainted and this is who I purchased it from. Mileage is about 62,000 I don't haverecords to prove this is actual mileage but by the looks of the carit appears correct. The interior is original except for the carpetand headliner. There is a small hole in the driver seat about the size of a nickle you might be able to see this in the pics. The rest of the interior is in great shape for it'sage. Comes with the original drive-train,not often do you find them like this. The engine is a 360 with theoriginal 2 barrel carb and runs strong, no smoke and no leaks. Thetransmission is a borgwarner automatic and shifts fine. The original color is white andonly appears to have been repainted once but it was not a qualitypaint job the prep work was not done correctly and there is somebubbling on the top of the front finders and on roof edge near theback side windows, and the hood has imperfections but it does shineup nice. the previous owner had it painted and you get what you payfor. I could get it repainted but that would just drive up my price.I do have a set of original tags that go with the car. Any questionsjust ask.The gauges all work along with the dummy lights, the second owner applied a fake decal kit to the gauges so I purchased another instrument panel that goes with the car. All lights and turn signals work, am radio is not hook up and the horn is missing. |
