| 1948 Ford Super Deluxe. I received this in in a trade deal so I don’t know a whole lot about it. This car is powered by a Flathead V8 with Offenhauser heads and intake along with a Holley 4 barrel card. It has a Mallory Unilite distributor and coil. The engine was rebuilt in the early/mid 2000s when the car was built according the receipts I have. The trans is a three on the tree manual, I was told it has Mercury gears but I have no way of confirming that claim. The front end is the original uncut wishbone with manual disc brakes. The original enclosed driveline and rear end have been replaced with a Ford 9” rear end and parallel leaf springs. The car runs and drives fine. Known issues:There are some flaws in the paint where body panels have rubbed.Doors and trunk need adjustment. Both side windows on the doors are cracked. Replacements are readily available. Speedometer and volt gauge don't work. There is no drive system for the windshield wipers. Passenger outside mirror broken. Contact me for more information. | |
