1962 Willys Jeep CJ5 Department of Agriculture Forest Service Brush Truck 6. You don't see these very often! Starts, runs, stops and drives well. Prior to my ownership it appears to have been re-wired and a new generator was installed. I have done work on the suspension to tighten up the steering and also completed a tune up. Everything on the truck works except for the emergency brake, gas gauge and CB radio. Most importantly the siren and bubble light work. You'll feel like a kid again playing with the siren. Tires are in great shape but I recently had to put a plug in one of them. Firefighting equipment includes an axe, portable hand pump extinguisher, 50 gallon water tank with electric pump and fire hose, handheld extinguisher and flashlight. The floors have some rust as can be seen in the pictures. Additional pictures available upon request. The body has a rust bubble under the fuel filler on the drivers side and a crack in the paint on the hood, both pictured. Seat covers are in good condition with no tears. While I do not have documentation that this was an actual fire Jeep, if it isn't someone went thru a lot of work to make it look like one. This is a 57 year old Jeep. It ain't perfect but it sure is cool.Cash or certified funds only. Buyer responsible for shipping. As-is, no warranty. |
