I took this Beetle on trade and now looking to pass it off to a new owner. It is a very straight rust-free Beetle that shows well and has a really cool look and stance – draws a lot of attention. Has had both driver and passenger full floor pans replaced and I cannot find any remaining rust anywhere else on it. The paint is by no means show quality but it does look good as a driver quality paint job. The steering, suspension, and brakes have all been sorted out and operate very well. The engine runs really well - starts right up every time and idles really smooth. This car would make someone a great weekend cruiser while also serving as a light project car. It has already had all of the big work done and it just needs some smaller items addressed here & there: - Needs new exterior door handles installed (new ones included) - Needs new drivers side interior door handle (new one included) - Headliner is sagging - Needs some paint touch-up – there is a decent sized chip on the hood, another spot on the passenger fender, and there is a spot down low on the rear of the car where some filler chipped away. There is also a spot on the right rear top corner of the deck lid where the paint is bubbled, this was due to a small carburetor fire from when it previously had dual carbs. - Needs a shifter knob and boot – the car came with 2 knobs but neither fit the stock shift rod. - Needs a new blinker switch - Front bumper supports need to be refinished (have surface rust on them) - Needs center cap for right front wheel – I have the one that came off but it has broken tabs. - Has an oil leak after it sits for a while – most VW’s I’ve been around typically leak at least a little, this one will leave a spot on the garage floor when you park it and leave it overnight. It is a new engine so I can’t imagine it would be anything too serious. As indicated above, it runs great! Overall it is a solid car, would make someone a cool project to tinker on while you drive it, or you could put a little more time and investment into it and flip it for a profit. 65’ is a very desirable year model. The price is $6600 FIRM – After dealing with a couple of bidders on Ebay that backed out prior to even looking. I have decided to just list the car and save the buyer and myself the headache of haggling by listing it straight-forward at my bottom dollar. Therefore please do not bother offering less – I will not respond to any other offers - $6600 is the price, take it or leave it. it took way more than that to get this car to this point. If you know VW’s then you already know what you are looking at and you know it is a very fair price. Trade for a older model Land Rover would be considered. PLEASE NOTE: I will be out of town Wednesday 11/6/19 thru Saturday 11/9/19 – I can show the car before or after those dates, but I will not be available during those specific dates. Thanks!
