This vehicle was restored in 2009 to illustrate a mild custom look with all original operating parts, driven only 3000 miles over the past decade. Vehicle started as a rust free car and illustrated no significant damage or rust, acquired in 1977, collected NOS parts to make this vehicle "as new". Everything was removed except the body/cab which sat on the frame perches (Frame On Restoration). All interior,doors, trunk, hood, fenders, driveline and wire harness completely removed and replaced/rebuilt prior to being assembled. No expense spared on NOS parts: 6 volt cloth wiring harness, rubber gaskets, fasteners, mild performance parts for correct rebuilt Mercury Flathead backed with three speed O/D transmission and sweet sounds from true dual exhaust while sporting all polished stainless trim and matched Lake Pipes & GE dual spotlights. Original re-cored brass polished radiator, new gas tank, fuel lines, rebuilt correct carb and heater core installed. Every new brake component installed to factory book specifications and 8 shoes arced for the perfect match. Keeping this period correct, original paint color includes base coat/clear coat finished in Carmine Red with door jams and deck lid/trunk lid inners painted . Frame and underside suspension cleaned and rebuilt adding a 2" inch rear end lowering kit with new shocks and radial tires sporting 3" Atlas White Walls / SS Top Hat hubcaps/ fender skirts. Polished interior stainless hardware, rebuilt gauges and tubed AM radio. Interior is done to high standards using premium materials, deluxe custom pleated two tone upholstery and seat belts added in front seats. All glass, steering wheel, emblems, painted dash and details to near perfect. Glass windows and new window channels function like new. Carpet kit including finished package tray and trunk. Period correct clear floor mats. Clean Title.
