Hello up for sale is a 1954 Chevy Wagon Solid California car. Clean title, current registration. This is a factory Automatic transmission and that is pretty rare for 1954.235 six cylinder, last owner rebuilt the engine. less than 5k miles on rebuilt. Not numbers matching to car. I do not have any receipts to prove the engine was rebuilt, but I can say that I can see the edges of a new head gasket (without paint on gasket) and the engine has a nice low idle and no excessive smoke. Engine runs good, and runs cool has never overheated on me. Good running car, I have driven this car around 300 miles and never had any break downs or problems. I have a new vacuum advance for the distributor that needs to be installed to make run even better. Power glide automatic transmission, This was a rare factory option for 1954 and is the correct option for this wagon. This is a two speed automatic transmission that has a nice high gear ratio. This car has no problems driving at 70 mph and still pretty low RPM at freeway speeds. FYI I hear the 3 speed sticks are running high RPMs to travel 60mph. So the power glide option is kinda a big deal if you are running a stock drive train. I had this transmission professionally removed and all seals replaced and then tranny was reinstalled about 4 months ago. The powerglide transmission is known to be a strong bullet prof trannyBrakes are stock drum brakes and work as they should. Actually stops pretty well for an old car.Paint and body, Solid California car. Has had a couple of small floor patch in the past. Currently has a couple small rust holes on passenger front floors. Otherwise very solid car, No rocker rust, No structural frame rust, no surprises. Paint is sage green and almond white, it is a dull satin seal coat paint job . Paint has plenty of flaws, but gives a pretty good first impression. Body is straight with no dents or major dings. I get complements on the colors of this car. One of the back door glass is cracked($40 piece of glass) Has some rare options. Fender skirts, exterior sun visor, rear window mini blinds, and a magnetic smoking pipe holder and old captains smoking pipe too.Interior is worn and shows signs of wear and tear everywhere, but is complete with headliner and all bows. Back seats folds down to make a lot of storage in the back. Has three seat belts in the front seat. All windows roll up and down and the wind wings open and close as they should. All door weather seals are worn. This is a very decent car, I have been driving it some the last several months and I am impressed with this classic car. If you have realistic expectations I think you will like it too. I am selling it because my mom needs to borrow some money for home repairs.I have done my homework on the price. Anything under $10k is rusty junk with out any rare options. drivers are usually $15k to $25k My price is fair and sober, if you are going to make me an offer please try to be fair about it. This is a running solid California car, factory automatic, with exterior visor, fender skirts and Bel Air trim package.I will accept most forms of payment, but if you pay with a check the car can not leave my house until my bank says payment has cleared.Shipping is always the buyers responsibility, but I will help however I can in the process. I have had several cars shipped in the past and you are welcome to talk to me about the process. All questions are welcome. I prefer phone calls, but email and text is ok too.
