Up for auction is an amazing early 1977 Ford F-250 Custom 4x4 High Boy pickup featuring a beautiful new professional interior, original factory Dark Nectarine Metallic paint w/minor touch-ups, and what I firmly believe to be 80,000 original miles. 1977 is the last of the true High Boy Fords, and the best of all with the final and best upgrades. She’s a well-appointed original truck equipped from the factory with Power Steering, Power Front Disc Brakes, and the Custom trim package. This is an extremely straight truck with beautiful bodywork, original steel wheels and hubcaps, in well-maintained daily-driver condition. There are no outer-body or other rust issues presenting; a great, solid, straight, and original truck. The new interior features the an amazing factory-correct deluxe upholstery package including new seat upholstery, new carpet, new door panels, new headliner, dyed visors and dash pad, and more... just about like new. The truck came with the rubber floor mat originally which I removed; there was surface rust under the mat as well as some perforations which were repaired prior to the new carpet going in. Truly a gorgeous truck... get in, turn the key, and go. The bed is completely rust-free, and the tailgate is likewise in beautiful condition. The wheel wells have been treated to a Zero-Rust preventative coating, along with detailed suspension, brakes, etc. The truck has great heavy-duty bumpers, including a step bumper in the rear with a receiver hitch and trailer connection, and a dealer-installed vintage Warn Winch front bumper. The winch appears to be fully connected and still functional! The engine is the original 351M V8 in excellent turnkey running condition. It has been recently tuned up, new belts and hoses, and a new performance dual exhaust system. The engine sounds very healthy and is very responsive. The factory manual transmission has been serviced with fresh oil, as have the axles and transfer case. The clutch is sound, and the 4-speed manual transmission shifts as it should. The front and rear axles are the original Dana /Spicer units with 4.10 gears; Dana 60 in the rear and Dana 44 with the big Spicer hubs in front. The truck is equipped with power steering and power brakes, both of which are in good order. The truck drives nicely, tracks straight down the road, and steers well. It stops well and straight; the truck is a lot of fun to drive. The wheels are the original 16” steel wheels, freshly painted in Wimbledon White, and wearing very nice radial M/S tires. Rancho RS 5000 shock absorbers round out the suspension at all four corners. While not a nut-and-bolt “Concourse” full restoration, this truck is a no-excuses Survivor beauty that is going to make someone very happy! Payment, Title, Shipping: Clear title in hand, matches VIN exactly for export, inspection, etc. While every effort has been made to describe the vehicle as accurately as possible, it is in fact a 42-year-old classic truck, and therefore being sold exactly as-is, without warranty or guarantee expressed, written, or implied. While the truck is great-looking and sound, it is a used classic and not perfect; you should expect minor flaws as appropriate of a truck of this age. Please be ready to make payment in full within 3 days of auction’s end via cash, deposit into my Bank of America account, or bank wire transfer. Shipping is the full responsibility of the buyer; I own a classic car restoration shop and can recommend a reliable and affordable broker who I have used many times... ultimately the choice must be yours alone.
