'History of the Imperial Crown ConvertibleFor 1965 the Imperial Division of the Chrysler Corporation placed focus on improving their quality with the flagship Crown model while refining their engineering in the process. The elegant and clean lines were kept from the 1964 models though a few noticeable changes included the new, horizontally split grille with the Imperial stamping up top. Additionally the headlight and bezels were sealed behind tempered glass lenses, which gave the 1965 model some European flair and lent to the instant recognizability of the model.
