Up for auction is this very nice 1964 Ford Thunderbird Convertible. The fourth generation of the Ford Thunderbird is a large personal luxury car produced by Ford for the 1964 to 1966 model years. This generation of the Thunderbird was restyled in favor of the previous body style . The Thunderbirds sporty style and defining lines make this convertible a real head turner even still today. The T-Bird comes with a high output 390-cubic-inch 300 bhp V8 engine that still has plenty of pick up and that great sound when you rev the engine. Its true it will probably take about 10 seconds to hit 60 mph lol . The T-Birds suspension allows the car to handle very well and to float through curves The revised model is offered as Sports Roadster with dealer-installed tonneau cover and stainless interior appointments. This example has been owned and cared for by the current owner for over 25 years. It has been kept in a climate controlled garage and rarely ever driven in the rain. Affectionately styled with Kelsey Hayes wire wheels , they add to the already sleek and classy style of this roadster ! Everything operates as it should and the car runs and drives effortlessly. There is no rust or rot and the underside is clean.Seats are in nice shape with minimal wear.Carpets are clean and nice. Glass is good,no cracks,The power top works smooth. Some unique history about this car is it appeared in several feature films and TV shows such as in the TV series Highlander as protagonist Duncan Macleods main ride.
