1966 Ford Econoline SuperVan. Extended Cargo van in turquoise. 240 Inline 6 w/automatic transmission. I bought this 11 years ago from the estate of the original owner. The heirs told me their parents bought the van new as their deer hunting camper. They essentially ordered a shell of a van, no passenger sun visor, no passenger arm rest, no rearview mirror, no radio. The only option they got was the exhaust port for an auxiliary gas heater( which I had no luck in finding). After a few years the Mom passed suddenly and the Dad lost interest so the van sat in the garage for 20 years. Last maintenance documentation at 46,000 miles. Sat in the garage for 20 years until I drug it home. I put 10,000 miles on it selling at monthly flea markets and promotion of our own show. I'm getting older and just ready to pass it on.Someone wrote and asked if it leaked or overheated;Hi, Yep, sure it leaks, motors never been touched. Every gasket and seal has shrunk in the last 50 years. Motor and trans run great. It has the big 240 in a metal box with the woefully undersized radiator, stop and go city driving has made me pull over before. I drove this from Detroit to Chicago no problem. Please, serious inquiries only. |
