Barn Fresh As Found 1936 Dodge 1/2 Ton Panel Truck Sedan Delivery 1936 Dodge 1/2 Ton Humpback Panel Truck Click images to enlarge Description I recently acquired this neat old "Humpback" Panel Truck from an elderly gentleman here in my area. He explained to me that his father bought it new in 1936 and used it daily around their dairy farm until it was retired in 1972 because of a blown transmission. They pushed it into the corner of their barn where it has been in hibernation for the past 40 + years. The previous owner also told me that he started to restore his dad's old truck back in the 1990's by sanding & priming the rear half of the body and removing the old canvas roof and the rotted wood from the floor pan. He never continued and that is where the project stopped. As you can see by my photos you are looking at a 1936 Dodge 1/2 Ton Panel Truck that is in the same condition the way it was found. This panel truck appears to be mostly original and basically complete from bumper to bumper. It has never been altered and still retains the original 6-cylinder engine & 3-speed transmission. The Unique Humpback Body is in fairly solid condition but does have some dings and dents and rust thru around the bottom rear of the body. The front and rear doors open, close and latch correctly. The door windows roll up and down and the windshield frame cranks in and out. The window glass in the drivers and rear doors are good but the windshield and passenger door are both cracked. The hood, radiator, grill & shell are in good condition. The 4 fenders are decent with the fronts being better than the rears. The truck's 116 1/2" wheelbase chassis is complete, original and in good solid condition having no rust thru, damage or previous repairs. As before mentioned the 6-cylinder engine & 3 speed transmission are original but are locked up and have not ran in decades. I will include a good complete original period correct motor and transmission with this sale. It rolls and steers & has no brakes but the emergency brake will hold it in place.
