1967 Jaguar E-Type Series I 4.2 Coupe $55,000 Vehicle Description 1967 Jaguar E-Type is a Series I coupe which came to New York in 1966 and was originally finished in Primrose Yellow over black. The glass and engine were reportedly removed for a 2005 repaint in the same color, while the hood was refinished again in 2018 to correct bubbling according to the seller. The balance of the finish was reportedly buffed and polished following the 2018 work. Series I equipment such as covered headlamps and smaller braking and turn indicator lamps were discontinued the following this model year. Chrome wire wheels are mounted with eared knock-off spinners and wear Michelin radial tires. A spare wheel, jack, knock-off mallet, and tool roll are housed beneath the rear hatch floor. Black leather covers low-backed bucket seats with lap restraints. A period Blaupunkt AM radio is fitted and is function properly. A wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts Smiths gauges including a five-digit odometer indicating 7k miles, with total mileage unknown. I have drove 3k miles over 8 years of ownership. The 4.2-liter inline-six features dual overhead camshafts and breathes through triple SU carburetors with a stock airbox. The engine was reportedly removed during the 2005 refurbishment, and the engine bay was detailed prior to reinstallation. The thermostatic radiator fan switch has been bypassed in an effort to provide better cooling in hot weather. A fully-synchronized four-speed manual transmission routes power to the rear wheels. Independent suspension and rear disc brakes were standard at all four corners, with the latter inboard at the rear. Literature includes an owner’s manual and supplement, a spare parts catalog, wiring diagrams, and a collection of Jaguar histories and coffee table books.
