CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER | |
---|---|
I am selling my 1957 4x4 International Harvester Travelall. I've had it since 1969 and shut it down in 1980. I acquired a 1963 Travelall which had basically the same 6 cyl. BD 240 engine. That motor had been hand rebuilt by the family from which I had gotten it - neither of us put many miles on it. The motor is currently in the bed of the truck along with both three and four speed transmissions as well as driveshafts, radiator and other parts. I'd hoped to get around to restoring it but that is not to be. Restored, I've seen similar Travelalls going for upwards of 35K, (check it out) but since this beast needs a whole lotta love I'm passing it on for a fraction of that. The high/low transfer case and all the running gear are worth considerably more than what I'm selling the truck for. I'm not going to part-it-out so please don't ask. This is the strongest FWD this side of military spec. I've ever driven or owned, so if you love I-H's and have time and room for a project then this might just be for you. And please, serious callers only. Telephone inquiries preferred. -Richard (818) 786-5394 |
