CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
I lowered the price for my dad's 1956 F-100 Ford "Big-Window" pickup and added some different photos that may help. This is a Raven Black code, V8 truck built at Ford plant in Long Beach, CA that was painted with primer before we bought it. Dad never got around to finishing this project because of his age and macular degeneration. The truck was garaged for 20 years but needs a new home. It started life as a stock chassis but as you can see in the photos we removed the rear leaf springs and installed a Jaguar IRS set-up. The rear bed sides were modified with hand built mini-tubs to match the wider 10" aluminum wheels with the R275/40-18 BF Goodrich tires. A Rock Valley custom 22 gallon stainless steel fuel tank is also installed with fuel gauge and fittings. The brake master cylinder is mounted to the left frame rail to accommodate a small power booster. The front leaf springs and mounts have been removed in anticipation of installing an IFS with a power rack and pinion. I have the both original glass front/back windshields, and door glass/frames and hardware. The tailgate is missing but have the front bed support, cross supports, running boards, core support, radiator valance, air deflector panels, 1955 F-100 hood and inner fender wells are included. The hood needs some work as it has a dimple in the crown and some rust pinholes. The battery cover, center floor plate and door hardware are also here. The chrome grille and front bumper need to be re-chromed. No front fenders or rear fenders, as dad sold the originals, always looking for better pairs for this build. We had planned on using a late model 302 c.i. with fuel injection and a C-4 trans but he never purchased them. I also have other parts like the speedometer, radio, door handles, trim parts, taillights etc. to go with the truck. The truck has a clear California title. I am being truthful on the description to hopefully not mislead anyone that may be interested. This project is not for the faint of heart but would make a great frame-off resto. I prefer that the buyer transport this himself but I might be willing to transport within a 1,000 mile radius for $550. A $500 deposit is required at auction's end and balance due within 7 days. Call Bill at (760) 315-1816 if you have any questions.
