Because the tires were original bias BFG 770 Silvertowns, I removed them, replaced them with new radials , and stored them in the trunk with the original spare. By the way the trunk is great and includes original labels on the lid and the cardboard hinge separators in fabulous shape. In the engine compartment I put in a new battery, and belts as required to make the car reliable. All of the hose clamps are original. Witteck tower clamps, Corbin snap ring, and witteck side screw clamps, dated to match the production of the car, adorn the engine compartment. Even the grease pencil factory markings can be found throughout. Spring Ring battery cable ends are still intact. All of the paint and plated finishes are remarkable. In the interior, the original carpet still has the clear plastic protectors along the sill plate ledge and white floor mats with Cadillac emblems. The red leather seating surfaces are perfect. No splits or cracks in vinyl, on dash, door panels , or other trim. The steering wheel doesn't have a single crack in the rim. The headliner is tight and clean. The original Cadillac key fires her up on the first try every time.I have many other photos of the unmatched original detail of this car. It is not perfect , but any flaws are so difficult to find that it truly presents itself as new. Chassis and undercarriage display no more than a little surface rust.Headlights, of course, original T3's. very beautiful paint with only a few places that could be touched up. The chrome is bright, but has a few places in the folds where some pitting has started. That is barely noticeable without close inspection. This is a survivor quality car that should never be restored and used as reference within the Cadillac community. If your collection features incredible survivor examples, take notice. Please contact me prior to bidding to discuss any feature of the car that you need additional information.
