As the rest of the world was struggling to pull itself out of the ashes and chaos for the Second World War America was stretching her legs as the new world leader. We were building cars and houses and everything else at a rate never before seen on this planet. This gorgeous Chrysler Town and Country was the epitome of style and freedom in 1949. It was lovingly restored and superbly maintained by a devoted car collector and his supportive family, and is now for sale after 25 years in the same family. It is an AACA Award winner and one of the nicest examples available. If you are looking for a fantastic and beautiful specialty car you can take to the show or to the drive-in then this is your machine. It is mechanically excellent and has just undergone a multi-point inspection and roadworthiness test. The interior was restored to original specifications and is in exceptionally nice condition. All of the woodwork is correct and in excellent condition both physically and cosmetically. The paint and bright work are all very nice and show well but are no longer 100% perfect. She will bring a smile to your face and to the faces of all those who see you drive by. Pack a picnic dinner, head to the park and then find a drive-in. It will be 1949 all over again. These two brothers from another mother quickly realized they had very similar taste in cars, Motorsports and military aircraft, so with this much in common how could they possibly not just go all in and start a business buying, selling, servicing and consigning classic and specialty cars. For several years Marcus operated his business in Bavaria and Robert has owned and operated American Powertrain and The Driven Man in Tennessee. In 2018 these businesses move into a multi building location just off of I-40 exit 290 in Cookeville Tennessee. Cookeville may not be the obvious hub of classic car activity, but it is within a day’s Drive of the majority of the population of the Eastern US. The location right up against I-40 means the directions to Los Angeles are simply “turn left out of the driveway, take your first right and your first left. Go to the end of the road and that’s LA!” Whether you’re buying your first classic car or your 100th you’ll enjoy working with Vintage Planet.
