No cars....not even Corvette.Due to a Federal Emissions oversight, trucks did not have to have pollution control ( aka SMOG). So Dodge put their 360 Police Interceptor in the short bed Adventurer 150 pick-up and the Lil Red Express Truck was born!In fact, this truck retains the original drive train that came in the truck from the factory. A special carburetor, 360 High performance heads, beefed up internals including the same cam grind as the legendary 68 340, dual snorkel ram air with unique scoops under the headlights, heavy duty transmission, posi rear, Chrome wheels wrapped in Goodyear Performance Radials, and a special low restriction exhaust system featuring dual chrome stacks. The engine features the tell tale 8W3601T6095 stamping that confirms a match to LilRed Express production. Search the details of this rare truck online and I think you'll agree it's collector potential is unmatched.Only made two years, the 78 model is by far the most desired. By 79 the Feds had caught on and the fastest quarter mile crown was history.Paint and decals are impeccable. Chrome is excellent, and all the wood trim still looks fresh. Minor fading can be found on the bed slats....but it's an original 41 year old truck!The truck drives smooth and tracks flawlessly. The rumble from the stacks is awesome. If you're building a collection of American Muscle, this truck has earned a spot in any serious collector's stable.
