I bought this Checker and a '65 Checker from a guy who had had them sitting in dry storage for 30 year's.And, I had this baby started/running 10 minutes after getting it in.AND IT RAN ABSOLUTELY PERFECTLY!I was just using direct fuel and carb cleaner to carb to run, its original fuel pump was bad.Around 6 month's ago I removed original/old fuel pump, then I ordered one from eBay, and I never touched it again!I honestly lost interest in it.I had even bought an '80 Checker too so I had 3 but this one was/is my most fave. I sold other 2, planned on keeping this one but again, I honestly just lost interest in it so I'm listing it here at an AWESOME price!It has a new battery, again, I hv the new pump and it will be included. May need to flush tank, IDK tho on this(it doesn't smell that bad).Cool thing too is, surprisingly its brakes e even up(stop perfectly)!So basically put new fuel pump on, maybe clean tank?, and maybe freshen up belts/hoses and YOUR ROLLING! MOTOR DOES SOUND AWESOME! TRANS SEEMS TO BE JUST FINE TOO!"RUST" , HAS SOME REPAIRABLE RUST ON ROCKERS, FRONT FLOOR BOARDS(JUST NEED A LITTLE PATCHING), AND PROBABLY TRUNK FLOOR(CAN'T FOR SURE REMEMBER HOW FLOOR WAS AT THE MOMENT. AND IT PROBABLY HAS A FEW MORE MINOR RUST SPOTS BUT NOTHING DRASTIC. FRAME IS SOLID!!!AGAIN, THIS BABY WAS IN DRY INDOOR STORAGE FOR 30 YEAR'S.I ADDED BRAND NEW $100 SMOOTHIE CAPS THAT LOOK GR8 ON IT TOO!IT WAS A NON AIR CAR BUT IT HAS A COMPLETE AC FOR IT INSIDE OF TRUNK(USED BUT IS ALL THERE). WILL NOT BE SOLD WITH CHROME 3 SPOKE STEERING WHEEL, WILL BE SOLD WITH STOCK WHEEL ONLY SHOWN IN PICS TOO(IT'S ALREADY BACK ON).CAN RECOMMEND A FAST/REASONABLY AUTO TRANSPORTER IF NEEDED.THANKS FOR LOOKING.
