1928 Ford Model A Roadster SCTA. Condition is Used. Better known as the B45 Roadster. A load of history in this roadster. It was a dirt track pace car in the ‘40s - ‘50s in north Texas. It carries its original patina paint job from that time of service and also still has the “Do Not Pass” on the trunk lid. I’ve had the car for 5 years, I’ve raced 2 years in Colorado at The HotRod Hillclimb and its won 3 years at The Texas Moonshine Run. Drivetrain: Flathead Ford, Offy heads, Thickstun intake and air cleaner, 2 Holley 94’s, crab dist. w/pertronics. Powergen starter and Alt/Gen built engine at 10 1/2 to 1 compression, runs strong and runs cool through a Griffin Radiator. ‘39 Ford trans bolted to a ‘32 Ford Truck K-member and pedals. ‘32 gas pedal and stock gas tank w/ an aristocrat model a dash panel. For the rearend it’s got a Jones Model a quick change center section w/ original Jones ring and pinion. 486gear. As far as I know this maybe the only model a quick change rear that exists with a pinion support. Wheels are ‘39 Lincoln Zephyr w/ Firestone bias plus. The front end is running 2” dropped model a axel and ‘32 spindles. I have added modern shocks for ride comfort. Everything thing else on the car is stock 1928. This vehicle still runs the stock mechanical brakes and I drive it everywhere. I have several dif final ratio quick change gears to make everything comfortable from drag race/dirt track to cruising the freeway at 85 miles per hour. This is a great piece of American Automotive History and I have enjoyed it for the last 5 years, now it’s time to pass it on and let someone else write a little piece of history with this 90 year old roadster and see where the story goes.
