Numbers matching (documented in 92 & 93)1968 GTO it is in great condition for a 50 year old car. It has WS motor 400/365 HP 4 speed PS/MB factory A/C(last worked in 96) hood tach, seatbelt/shoulder harness package. It has 104k miles. Driven only during summer months, always stored inside. Interior is in great condition, it does need a new headliner. This car has never seen rain or snow since I've owned it. I bought it in 1993 from a collector in Kansas who said he bought it from original owner(he gave me a bill of sale for the car from 1971). Timing gear and chain replaced when car was 6 months old, other than that, no engine work. It has been my baby for the past 28 years and now it needs a new home. For the past few years I have worked for the US Navy and not had the chance to use the car as I am rarely home. Other than being started a couple times a month and run for 15-20 minutes, it sits for a good share of the time, which is one of the reasons I need to sell itI have been asked three times now why the front clip does not line up. Actually I asked the same question when I bought the car. The second owner said he replaced the rubber cap in the late 80's and did not put all the body clips in correctly. Both of the companies that I had do an appraisal/inspections,(once before I bought the car in KC, and then again in Michigan after I bought it) confirmed this fact. I also took it to a body shop right after I bought it to confirm this as well. The shop owner said the story made sense since he couldn't find any sign of an accident. He said it would take about half a day to correct. Give me a call, I will answer any and all questions. 810-459-0874 |
