For sale is a unique 1973 Ford Maverick. Comes with a Deluxe Marti Report. It was originally equipped with 302 V8, automatic transmission, air conditioning, rear window defogger, white wall tires, convenience group, leather wrapped steering wheel!, power steering, bumper rub strips, am radio, exterior decor group, interior decor group, complete tinted glass, heavy duty battery, trim rings/hub caps.Car no longer has engine or transmission, but has its 8 inch rear end with 3.00 gears. This car has not been on the road since 1984, and I have lost indoor storage. This car is too nice to sit outside under a tarp. Reality has set in. I don’t have time to work on it and would like it to go to a serious Maverick enthusiast. There are many positives with this car. This car is a beautiful original color : Gold Glow! It can be seen under the yellow primer in the photos. This Maverick is 1 of 100 with this paint/trim code! (Even more rare when figured with air and rear defogger!)It is SUPER SOLID! Car comes with a CLEAN AND CLEAR New York State title. No games with paperwork.Hood and trunk lid both are rot free with nice lip edges. Fenders are rot free. Doors are nice with a touch of bondo in corners and lip.Unibody, floors, torque boxes, and trunk floor are incredibly solid!Factory tinted glass is nice INCLUDING THE WINDSHIELD!Check out the unibody engine compartment. Even the radiator support and battery tray area are solid. Chrome trim for windows is provided.Gas tank is in the trunk.Headlight bezels and tail lights will be shipped in the trunk.A very nice grill will be shipped with the car. You won’t be disappointed here. The seats and door panels are nice. Instrument cluster lenses are clear. A pair of hood hinges will be shipped with the car.Tires hold air. Speedometer gauge is clear. In the photo, fenders are barely bolted on in order to store them. That’s why they don’t line up. Car appears to have never been wrecked.Negatives:There is bondo in the quarter panels, which is strange when compared to the rest of the car. HOWEVER, if Buy it Now is paid (or very close to it), I will include full quarter panels from a 1977 Maverick that are really nice. 1977 Driver quarter looks beautiful. 1977 Passenger quarter is super nice with a rust hole behind the wheel and some rust in the trunk rain gutter. I can provide pictures if you win them by text. I can not upload any more photos here because I reached the 24 limit. Although the 1973 Mav you are looking at does not need full quarter panels, I will cut the 1977 quarters for you into the roof line, into the rocker panel, and into the trunk area up to the unibody rail. This will allow your body man to cut as he pleases. Again, these are included only if the Buy it Now price (or very close to it) is paid. Of course there are dings on the body. There is a crack in the center of the dash, but repairable. Car will need a headliner and carpet. Front bumper does not have rubber strips. I am providing two nice rear bumpers (one with brackets). One bumper has rubber strips, one does not. Use the best bumper and sell the other one. All bumpers have minor pitting. Door panels have been dyed at one point before I got the car. Maybe they were dry?Considering the solid nature of this car and its rarity, it is worthy of a nice restoration.Items pictured will go with the car. Please ask questions through eBay. I will answer them. Please be aware of the terms:I communicate only in English and do business with the United States and Canada. No exceptions. A NON-REFUNDABLE $500 deposit is due immediately following your decision to purchase. Balance is due through PayPal or cash in person within 7 days of purchase. I will relist the car on the 8th day if you do not pay the balance. You will not receive your deposit back. That is the price of wasting my time and the cost of relisting the item. If you are not sure if you want a Maverick project, don’t buy it. Quite simple.I will store this car for two weeks free of charge and will make myself available to assist your transporter.Thank you. |
