| Usual story ; too many projects and not enough time or space. The car is currently parked at a local auto upholstery shop and can be seen at any timeThis car started off as a rust free Utah car which just had some parking lot door dings and dents and it was stripped to the bare metal, dents and dings repaired and repainted in it's original Candlelight Cream here at a shop in Florida. The car has no rust that I can see. The car came with the full floor pan beige rubber mat which it still has instead of carpet. I was redoing the car as a driver for beach weekends with out of town guests so it is a very nice looking driver but not a show car and the original rubber mat was perfect for this. The car has a new tinted windshield as well to replace the original cracked piece and I have installed new cowl and door weatherstrippings to keep the car dry inside. There is a new headliner, repaired seats and door panels and a dash pad- the interior looks nice as is but you could take it to the next level if that was your thing.The car is an original A/C car but it needs charging from sitting. It has a 326 v8 with a 2 bbl.and automatic transmission , ps and pb, clock and am radio. The car starts right up and from my 5 miles or so put on the car driving around the buildings and adjacent streets, it runs and drives like any 60's car. All the fluids have been flushed and changed in the past couple of months and the car has been tuned up with all new parts plus a new Napa battery installed. It will need 4 new tires for driving any distance because the tires on it are age cracked and old and I would not take it any distance with them on . The Keystone chrome rims are also from the 1960's and need polishing.If anyone wants to see the car, just email me and I will give you the address since it is parked outside for viewing anytime. Even though this is a nicely redone driver, there are still some details left to tend to or take the car to whatever level or direction you wish. It is a 53 year old used car being sold as is, where is with no warranties. | |
