| I bought this truck from Wyoming about 2 years ago. The motor was bad, so I replaced it with a factory 4BBL 360/390. I have not measured the stroke, but it is probably a 390 as I believe it came out of a car. I put a new Holley 670 cfm 4BBL on the truck 12 Dec 2019. We replaced all exhaust manifold bolts, put new exhaust gaskets, and new dual exhaust about a year ago. We also replaced radius control arm bushings. I also installed new wheels and tires about 2 or 3 weeks ago. I put a new battery in about the same time. It runs, drives, and sounds awesome. We put 24” glass pack mufflers along with the new dual exhaust. There are dents here and there but the paint is 95% original. The paint in floorboard is even original, this is the reason I haven’t put carpet in it; to show how clean and original the floorboards are. There was one small rust hole in passenger floorboard we cut out and welded new metal in. If you look close at under body pictures you can see where some of the old undercoating has fallen away. The metal appears to be new, but it is original. Other than the spot we repaired we have found no rust underneath the truck. There is some surface discoloration on the passenger roof drip rail. There were a few pin holes also we filled with seam sealer. Very minor stuff. The passenger rear door was dented with a set of forks on a tractor I believe. We straightened it best we could but there is no body filler. Bottom line is it is a very nice truck. Merry Christmas and Jesus is the reason for the season!!! | |
