1979 Ford F-350 Custom trim package 4x4 1-ton beastEngine has very low miles and is very reliable with a TON of torque. My uncle purchased this truck in 1979 with only 10k miles on the odometer. Currently mileage is approximately 135K. The original 400 engine was replaced with a 429 in the 80’s to provide more horsepower for pulling his camper trailer and/or boat. This 429 engine has approximately 40K miles on it today. It is occasionally started and driven about 5 times a year. In 1991 it was repainted but does need a new paint job. Vehicle has spent 90% of the time inside a garage and is currently parked outside in the Bitterroot Valley of Montana. In October of 2019 the Edelbrock carb was rebuilt including new gaskets, needles and seats and then adjusted. During the same time the transmission cooler lines, alternator belt ,fuel pump, fuel filter, engine oil and filter were replaced as well. Everything on the truck works as it should. Windshield is cracked and there are a few dents, dings and scratches. Sold as is, no implied warranty. This truck is also for sale locally so I do reserve the right to end this listing at any time. Unfortunately I don't have the complete build specifications for the engine. I was always told by my uncle that he really went all out on having this engine built. Original color: Dark Blue Metallic (Midnight Blue Metallic) |
