1976 Cosworth #3510. This is a rare "color car" that came from the factory with gold exterior and saddle tan interior. I bought the car about 10 years ago, drove it briefly until we found out the rear suspension was rusty, then parked it. We drove it now and then but the radiator was damaged and the engine overheated, which blew the head gasket. The engine still ran but was burning coolant. I recently tried to get it running again but the starter isn't getting power. Engine does turn by hand. The fuel pumps still run and I think all the injection stuff should be fine. Fuel doesn't even smell that old. It was a strong runner before the head gasket went. The engine is complete except for the damaged radiator and shroud.Unfortunately the chassis has rust and the car had a poor repaint years ago. It will need work on rear control arms and on the braces for the front lower control arms. Floors and spare tire well have rust too. Its been sitting outside and is dirty, but most of the paint can be cleaned up. Front fender is dented. The interior is missing - seats, door panels, carpet, headliner, etc. Hood hinges are also gone. GT dash and 4 speed shifter is complete. Tan dash is faded but not badly cracked. It even still has the AM/FM radio. The hatch isn't rusty and has rare rear defrost glass. The defroster switch is still in the dash too. This is a 4 speed car with the iron Saginaw transmission. It comes with 5 Cosworth wheels. I can get the tires aired up so it rolls, and we can move it to a commercial location so a transporter can pick it up. I've had several Cosworths over the years but this is the last of them. I also have some solid doors and a 4.10 axle available separately if someone needs them.Located just east of Cincinnati in Amelia, zip 45102.Car has a clear title and I can work with your shipper if you want to send someone out. International buyers welcome. |
