My Eye catching 1968 Pontiac Firebird 400 convertible with 49,xxx original miles is up for sale. Of the 16,960 convertibles made in 1968 very few came with the 400 engine and a 4 speed. This car runs excellent and driving it is too much fun! Everything is in working condition with the exception of the original AM radio. This is a rare opportunity for one to come up for sale like this. This car is very fresh and currently registered to me. Here`s a breakdown of the cars options.Non numbers but, correct WQ code 1968 400 HO engine complete carb to pan and rebuilt. Muncie M-21 4 speed,10 bolt posi rear , power steering, power disc brakes(69 single piston), power top, power windows, Original Tinted glass, Tilt wheel, hood tach, Consol, delux door panels,rear antenna, original Pontiac rally 2 15x7 wheels with rings and caps on all 4 corners and a rear spoiler that`s been added. New items on the car are as follows, suspension, windshield, radiator, heater core, fuel tank and sender, fuel and brake lines, master cylinder, calipers, wheel cylinders, hoses, brakes pads and shoes, tires, all weather stripping, nos wheel well mouldings, rocker mouldings, front and rear bumpers, convertible top, carpet, battery, alternator, regulator clutch set up, u joints and front end components tie rods ,ball joints etc, air cleaner , headers and custom 2 1/2" exhaust. This Firebird 400 had the body and paint done in 2000 ,the color is stunning! (The original color was a lighter green). It then sat apart for years. The car was finished this year. The Black interior was redone using Legendary seat covers & new foam . Everything else was either rebuilt, replaced (with original if possible) or restored /cleaned up. Its a very nice car, not a trailer queen, it was restored to be driven and enjoyed. Bring it to shows and be proud , win trophies if that`s your thing. This car is an excellent original example.
