Stock #: 103151 Exterior Color: Red Interior Color: Black Body Type: Convertible Transmission: Manual Drivetrain: V8 with 4 speed stick Fuel Type: Gasoline Engine: V8 Vehicle Description This 1962 Chevrolet Corvette starts up easily and runs and drives. It shits into all 4 gears with no issues and the clutch is good, it does not slip, it is fairly easy to push in. The engine sounds good, it fires on all cylinders. I do not have any casting #s from the engine. I do it know the displacement, I do not know if the engine is the original. Same goes for the transmission and rear differential. The brakes stop the car fine. Some lights work, some gauges work, some don’t. This car should be gone through by a technician before daily use but in my brief test drives it seemed to be in usable condition just the way it is. It steers nicely and the brakes stop the car fine. This car has not been in use much for the past few years so you can expect that some service will be required. The paint is not high quality, there is some dirt, overspray, bubbles, cracking, and waviness through out the body. The fiberglass hood is cracked in the center where the air cleaner stud has almost poked through. Some of the chrome is pitted or dinged. The car is all there and does operate, so it will make for a nice restoration or a fun “driver quality” car. The speedometer cable makes a whining noise in the dash, but it works. The drivers door sometimes gets stuck and is hard to open. I noticed an antifreeze drip coming from the upper radiator hose. There is evidence of some out leaking as you can see some oil is on the bottom of the car. I didn’t see any dripping on the ground, but it seems that there is a small oil leak. Overall the car looks nice but on close inspection you can see that the body will need some attention. The undercarriage need significant work as shown in the photos. The frame has been patched in several places. The buyer has 7 days to pay for the vehicle in full via wire transfer or cash in person. We ask that you please have the vehicle picked up within 21 days. The vehicle is stored inside of a garage at a farm and it will remain there until the buyer retrieves it. The zip code is 21087.
