1956 Ford Customline Tudor Restomod Vehicle Information Video Description 1956 Ford Customline Tudor Restomod Classic Ford Fans and lovers of mid-1950s Detroit Iron will not want to miss this one – a 1956 Ford Customline Tudor Restomod that we are selling for a local client. Dressed in a vibrant yellow exterior with flames on the hood and an air intake scoop, the car’s paint and chrome trim are in excellent order but with minor imperfections, paint crack at right side hood and a small crack at left front fender near the grill. The bodywork is straight and the front fenders are fiberglass. The engine bay is extremely tidy, the trunk is in similar order, complete with space-saver spare tire and the trunk-mounted battery appears new. This Ford rolls on Douglas Xtra-Track radials, size 205/55R16 at every corner. Each tire is mounted to Cragar SS Mag Wheels. The wheels and tires are all in very good order and the tires offer deep tread. In that engine bay is a 400-horsepower Cleveland 351 CID V-8 engine from a 1971 Ford, with Australian two-valve iron heads with oversized valves, roller rockers, a Comp Magnum roller cam, Edelbrock air gap intake, a Holley 650 cfm double-pumper carburetor, Mallory ignition, long-tube headers, three-inch dual exhausts with Flowmasters, aluminum crossflow and more. While equipped with A/C, it is inoperable with no belt on the compressor. Bolted to that motor is a custom-built automatic overdrive with a 2,500 RPM stall converter and an aluminum driveshaft and a 1996 Explorer 8.8-inch narrowed rear end with 3.55:1 gearing and 31-spline axles. Driver convenience features include power rack-and-pinion steering, Hydroboost power front and rear disc brakes, power front seats and a tilt steering column. The car’s chassis features dropped spindles and heavy-duty front sway bar. Inside is a black leather interior from a 1998 Lincoln Mark VII. The front buckets and rear bench seat with center fold-down armrest are in great shape. The matching carpet and headliner echo the seats’ condition. A three-spoke sports steering wheel that is a replica of those found on late 1970s Ford vehicles looks great, while the black metal instrument panel is in excellent order while the matching inner doors with patterned panels are in very good condition. The car has a full set of Auto Meter gauges, including a tachometer, transmission fluid gauge and even a clock. A B&M Quicksilver Shifter completes the interior. The 1956 Customlines utilized the 1955 bodies with only minor changes. A Customline Victoria two-door hardtop was added to the range. Nineteen fifty-six Customline production totaled 368,653 units. Documents include a copy of the owner’s manual plus assorted papers. This is a beautiful cruiser, wrapped in eye-catching paint and chrome with a modern interior. If you’re looking for a classic Blue Oval product, this could be that car. It also makes a viable alternative to the well-known Chevrolet Tri-Five collectible cars.
