For sale is my 1976 corvette stingray. Bought it from a gentleman here in town about a year ago. The engine is numbers matching. Sturdy frame with only a little surface rust. Title is clean. Whomever purchases this car is responsible for pick up or delivery. The issues I know about; gauge cluster isn’t working, the speedo sometimes works but mostly doesn’t, tacho doesn’t, power windows don’t work, gash in the right front wheel fender, small coolant leak on the intake manifold, head lights don't lower or come up (bulbs work), both windows are sagging (driver side window is colliding with the sidewall, see picture), a/c has no compressor or belt, issue with the shifter when you crank the car (have to press the shifter forward to get her to crank). All of these issues were present at the time I purchased it. I've experienced no new issues while I’ve had her. I didn’t drive her hard with those issues present. I was able to fix a few things while I've had her; flushed the fluids, new tires, replaced the valve covers/gaskets, put an open air intake, replaced the battery, replaced fuel pump hoses and put a new water pump on it. I will next be focusing on the window sag, new brake fluid, and new intake manifold. The more I fix the more the price will go up.One of the previous owners made it a dual pipe exhaust (with no joint) so she sounds nice. She cranks up without much of a fight and handles nice. The 76-82 have steel floor pans. I tried my best to photo them. The passenger side has a little rust on the edge of the pan near the door. The driver side seemed alright.. Kept the original air intake if whomever buys her wants it. |
