It is a 1931 Willys 6 Model 97 roadster. This car was bought from an estate sale in Alabama. These cars came from factory with a 193 CI Flathead Inline 6 cylinder producing 65 HP with a cruising capability of 60 MPH. It came with a factory 3 speed manual transmission. It has a 110 inch chassis. The suspension was by beam and live axles on longitudinal semi-elliptic leaf springs with hydraulically-damped shock absorption. It came with a 1 barrel updraft Tillotsen Carburator and 4 wheel servo assisted drum brakes. Willys had come out with what they called "Finger Tip Control" which starts the car, operates the lights and blows the horn all by a multi function button in center of steering wheel. It came with wood spoked artillery style wheels with the Willys 6 Hubcaps. This one has the upgraded wire spoke wheels. The hood side panels were ventilated with horizontal louvers. It has the original gauges. You could add a rumble seat, dual side mounts and fender mounted side lights which this car has all three. You cannot find many of these cars on the internet but I found one that was restored and the price was over $40,000. This car is an all original car that runs and drives. It still has the wooded bows for the top but needs the top. It is missing the front bumper. This would be the perfect car to restore. It has good bones for restoration. The original vin number is still mounted on the frame. Vehicle Warranty Most of the vehicles that are being offered for sale are sold with a current Georgia registration and noterized bill of sale as Georgia is a Non Title state on ALL VEHICLES OLDER THAN 1962 and most from 1963 to 1986. From 1963 to 1986 if we buy a vehicle that has a title in the owners name that we bought vehicle from then Georgia will issue a new Title in current owners name but if the vehicle is bought from any State that does not issue Titles then this vehicle will be sold with a current Georgia Registration because Georgia will not issue a title without a title.
