| Up for sale is this 1973 AMC Gremlin X. This is a very nice, nearly all-original, 2 owner car. Car runs and drives very nice. Original 258 with 3-speed on the floor. The engine has been upgraded to a 2BBL intake and a new Motorcraft 2150 carburetor. Original D7 Trans-Am Red paint with brand-new correct Gold side graphics from Phoenix Graphics. Very rare color combination. Includes the original window sticker, owners manuals, Technical Shop Manual, advertising booklet and even the original title! This car is very original, with only a few things freshened up along the way to make it presentable, fun and drivable. The new parts include: Fuel Pump Fuel filter Air filter New Motorcraft 2150 Carburetor Performance shocks (also includes lightly used stock-type shocks) Drums, wheel cylinders, and hardware Master Cylinder Distributor cap, rotor, points and condenser Sparkplugs and wires Ignition coil Upgrade 55-amp Alternator Water pump and hoses Radiator cap Temperature sending unit Headlamps Battery and cables New correct shift knob NOS Replacement Hatch Cherry Bomb exhaust (original muffler is included) Mastercraft Avenger GT White Letter Tires Includes both a NOS Gremlin gas cap, and the original very rare locking Gremlin gas cap (pictured). Also includes the original 1BBL intake parts. Very little rust on the car, with only one small spot on the bottom of rocker. There is also an old small puncture on the rear quarter, it is not rust. Very clean car otherwise. Paint is not perfect with nicks and scratches and dings, but is the ORIGINAL 45-year-old paint and still shines well. Chrome is in good shape on the bumpers, luggage rack and air deflector. The wheels have been freshened up with new paint in the correct style, and the grille has had some cracks fixed along with being repainted in the correct red paint. The valve cover and water pump have also been repainted in the correct AMC Engine Blue, along with the air cleaner repainted black and a new 258 sticker applied. The only thing that does not work is the radio, due to the speaker cone rotting out.
