Powering this little GTO is a 400 CID V8 that is believed to be the original 335 horsepower engine it rolled off the assembly line with. Transferring those horses to the 10-bolt rear end and 3:36 gears, is the original TH-400 3-speed automatic transmission that features the iconic His/Hers Hurst Dual Gate shifter. The His/Hers shifter gave the driver both the ease of ‘put it in drive and go’ and the ability to shift manually from first, second, and third gears when desired.This beautiful 67’ Goat is finished in its original shade of Signet Gold with a black vinyl roof. According to the PHS documentation, the interior was originally gold, but during the 2-year restoration in 2003-2004 it was changed to black vinyl. The engine and transmission were rebuilt during the restoration as well. Redline bias-ply tires were added to preserve the original look and driving feel of this GTO. Power steering helps maneuver this big old beauty in traffic as well as in mall parking lots and shows settings.
