This 1968 Karmann Ghia is for someone who wantsto own one of the best examples in the country. Karmann Ghia coupes have beenmy passion and we have owned three in recent years. When you are in yourmid 70’s you begin to accept the notion that you best find good homes for mostof your cars. A very special effort went into the restorationof this Karmann Ghia, but only to the credit of a previousowner. The completed car was properly recognized being the featuredvehicle in a multiple page color display in “Hot VWs” magazine. A thick ringbinder (see photos) documents all the restoration costs. Improvements wereall about performance, with just a hint of the “outlaw” look. Justas some Porsche 356's have evolved into “outlaws”, the most successful ones inmy opinion are those that do not look very dramatic or glaringly different fromstock.
