1969 chevelle l34,l35,l78, l79, ss, copo, barn find, chevy project, rat rod, hot rod, nostalgic retired drag car, , ricky bobby 1969 chevelle retired race car from the Richmond, Va area. This car ran at Richmond, va dragway, Suffolk, va dragway and possibly others around the state. The car ran with a 454 big block chevy and 3 speed automatic transmission. This chevelle ran 10:95 to in a ¼ mile. This chevelle is just a roller now. No Engine, No Transmission. This chevelle is looks really close to the movie chevelle that Ricky Bobby’s Dad drove. LOL!! It would make a great car to clone as that car or clear it and leave it ratty looking. This car would make a great project with many different options. This chevelle was built new in the Baltimore plant last week of august per the cowl tag. The original color combination from the factory was code 69 cortez silver with a black vinyl top. The car was a black bench seat car with 3 speed automatic column shift from the factory. This car was last raced around 1993 when it had rear end gear failure and was parked. Car has a straight body and chassis and does not appear to have been wrecked. The car rolls, steers and stops. The car has factory soft ray tinted glass all the way around and all the window regulators are still in place. The stock dash and wiring are still in place. The glove box door is in place and secured with 2 screws. This car was factory a/c and manual steering. The car had a bolt in Lakewood roll bar for safety which was removed after it was parked. It has a early B&M 3 speed automatic shifter with the cable and bracket for a th350/400. The rear end will need to be gone through due to the gear failure. No seats, no door panels, no carpet. The headliner is still there and will need replaced. The body of the car is very solid however it will need both front fenders patched at the rear bottoms. Both doors will need small patches, both rear quarter panels will need patches behind the rear tires. Driver side rear quarter will need patch in front of the tire as well. All of the window trim is on the car and appears in nice condition. The hood has been modified for the scoop and cut out underneath for air flow to the carbs. The trunk floor will need to be patched where the battery was located. Please see the pictures for the condition in the trunk. All the pinch welds look great. All around the rear wheel wells inside look good and solid. The floor pans of the car are really good for originals. There are some small thin areas in the front that could easily be corrected. Please see the pics of the floor pans for the condition. Had to select a form of title, it is not salvage it just doesn’t have a title. No title will be sold with bill of sale. I am placing a fair buy it now price or make offer to go ahead and move the car. Please ask questions if you need to. You are also more than welcome to come out and see it in person. Upon sale of the car 500.00 deposit due 4 days of auction ending. The deposit can be paid via money order, pay pal, cashiers check.
