Engine and valve covers are painted red and are in excellent condition. The aluminum heads are also detailed well, clean, with no deterioration. Aluminum intake manifold and Holley carburetor are also in excellent condition being extremely clean and detailed. There are some billet/chromed/polished items attached to the engine including the power steering and alternator brackets, air cleaner, and fan pulleys all in excellent condition. Wiring is in factory raceways with no deteriorated insulation, bare wires or splices. Heater hoses have been run to the outboard side of the engine walls for aesthetic purposes. Underside of the hood is painted in a gloss black paint in excellent condition. Chassis: Underside of this vehicle has undergone a complete, exacting restoration with the chassis displaying no rust, collision damage or repairs. Front end suspension has quality performance control arms, a 1 ¼” sway bar and performance polyurethane bushings all in excellent condition. Frame rails are painted a semi-gloss black paint displaying no rust or repaired damage. The engine displays no oil leakage. Floor pans are in excellent condition with no rust or repairs visible. Rear suspension/axle are in excellent condition with no rust, painted a semi-gloss black and having a performance rear sway bar installed. Gas tank may be new with no rust, spillage marks or dents. Interior: Front Strato-bucket style seats with headrest are in excellent condition with no rips, tears or split seams. Doors are also in excellent condition with no sun, water damage or panel waviness having the correct SS badges. Rear bench style seat (including the upholstered side quarter panels) are all in pristine condition. Headliner and carpeting are both in excellent condition with the headliner having no rips, tears or split seams and the carpeting installed well having no worn areas and protective Chevelle vinyl floor mats installed. Center console is also in excellent condition having no cracks, scrapes or broken pieces. Padded section of the instrument panel has no cracks, sun, water damage or waviness. Instruments are the correct round style bezels for an SS vehicle all easy-to-read with clear lenses and bright faces. This also applies to the aftermarket underdash oil pressure gauge. Exterior: Exterior paint has an extremely high gloss with no drips, runs or poor prep noted, Both doors, hood and trunk line up well with the rest of the vehicle. Hood is the correct domed style for a 1970 SS also having the correct chromed hood hold down pins. The Band-Aid hood and trunk stripes are painted on that have been applied with care. Front and rear chromed bumpers have no pitting, peeling or dented cores. Front turn indicators are the correct clear style for a 1970 SS vehicle. The 1970-unique rear rubber bumper-mounted pad featuring white SS” letters are in excellent condition as is the blacked-out SS only grille. Stainless trim, pot metal insignia and other polished items are in excellent condition with no scratches, dents or pitting. Trunk area displays no rust, is detailed in the correct “splatter” paint and has the correct rubber mat. All glass is scratch and crack-free with no de-lamination observed.
