This 1956 Thunderbird is a Frame Off Restoration and is housed in a climate controlled garage inside a ‘CarCapsule’ (see last Pic). Call me if you have questions: 727-460-9218. “A personal luxury car of distinction”. She is a show stopper to say the least and at the few shows she’s gone to she has ALWAYS placed either best of show or best of class! E.g. 6 years in a row she’s been Best of Show at the prestigious St. Petersburg Yacht Club Vintage motor Classic. Thunderbirds of this quality range in the $70K+. From the show finish to the clinically clean engine bay, interior and Undercarriage she stands out!! Pictures were taken within the last 30days. No expense has been spared on maintenance and the details on this gem. This car has NEVER EVER been driven in the rain/drizzle/damp/ dirt road or even a puddle since restoration! She is an absolute cream puff and has been babied in every way! 1x times a year she is professionally detailed with a 3stage finish, then a refresher wax/polish every 2-3 months. To give you a measure of the quality of the car we’ve already had offers from Classic car dealers, a well renowned Thunderbird builder within the last 60 days! I am the vice President of ‘Classic Thunderbirds of Tampa Bay’ and have seen many Birds over the years, very few can measure to her standards! She will be at the Classic Thunderbirds Club International National Convention in Sarasota if you want a close up. ***Please Copy & Paste link into your browser for 74 additional pictures: http://s1279.photobucket.com/user/flashprash65/library/T-BIRD%20SALE 1956 Ford Thunderbird - YouTube Video will open in a new windowUsing the eBay App? You can, without hesitation, drive her across the U.S., however if that’s your plan she will not be sold to you! The engine has been fully rebuilt as part of the restoration and is a Ford Y-Block V8 Holly 4bbl that connects to a Ford-O-Matic 3 speed Automatic transmission. She also has power brakes and ultra-smooth power steering. The interior was completely restored and comes with vintage AC that blows ICE COLD! The interior shows better than new and all gauges work perfectly. She does have seat belts (red) and they are in excellent condition. The car is straight, has excellent gaps and NO misaligned hood, doors & trunk like so many other. The typical problem areas on these cars are floors, trunk bed, firewall, Intake ducts and all are rust free, immaculate, glossy and waxed! The undercarriage is Colonial white offset by a gloss black frame that is show quality (Note: There is NO underseal that many sellers use as a "coverup", with this T-Bird you can see how clean she is and what you're buying!!!!) EVERYTIME she’s on a lift for an oil change other customers and tech’s take pictures of her beautiful undercarriage! All of the trim and chrome are of high a quality finish. Glass is factory tinted blue in excellent condition as are the seals. Door, trunk, soft top seals are all perfect and everything opens and closes smoothly and symmetrically. The soft-top is tuxedo black without a speck of dust on it, fits tight like a drum and the accompanying frame is high gloss black and perfect in every way as are all the chrome latches, it all folds perfectly hidden behind the seat. There are no dents, scratches, fading, and the car has a wet look luster which is hard to achieve with a white car. Upgrades: The original vacuum powered wipers have been upgraded to electric. Stainless steel exhaust system. Adjustable air struts in the rear. New Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels that are ‘white glove’ clean and wrapped in Coker white wall tires. She has the ‘parade’ cooling package with a hidden thermostatically controlled electric fan, original look painted aluminum radiator and a 6 blade stainless fan (98deg weather and she’s purring). Dry air filter conversion. Pertronix Ignition. Electric fuel pump with cut off switch. Battery trickle charge tether. Vintage AM/FM/Cassette Thunderbird radio. Has the back up light feature on this Bird. Chrome dress band added to continental wheel. Note: There is small unnoticeable 1.5" bend in the passenger side front fender inner lip (see pic) which caused the paint crack when a body guy tried to 'flare' the fender to stop the wheel from rubbing slightly when you lock hard right while going up a driveway....Coker white wall are a little wider than the Bias Plys... Solution don't lock hard right while turning into a steep driveway. We never got around to fix it as you cant see it unless you're on your knees. She still places 1st at the top shows!!! She comes with the tuxedo black soft top and an original porthole hardtop that’s is good condition which is VERY HARD TO FIND. I've had "as is" offers for the hardtop for $2500-$3000 so if you don't need it you can sell it very easily, restored the sell for $6000.The hardtop only needs a lite restore (seals/paint). Also comes with a very ingenious inflatable CarCapsule (see picture) and a $400 Noah soft car cover. Also Owners handbook, years of Earlybird magazines, trophies, Shop Manual, 3 manila files totaling about 4 inches thick of records, Model 1:18 scale T-Birds, memorabilia, spare parts, old parts, etc… ***Please Copy & Paste link into your browser for 74 additional pictures: http://s1279.photobucket.com/user/flashprash65/library/T-BIRD%20SALENOTE: "This vehicle is sold in “AS IS” condition with no guarantees or warranties, either expressed or implied, for the vehicle.
