CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
As many of you know, this vehicle was on here before and was bid up to $46,100. This is a 1959 Chevrolet Bel Air. I have known this car since 1960, it was purchased in Inwood Iowa from a company called Grotewold Motors by a knowledgeable salesman Dick Hanson. Dick had read that they were going to make less than 20 RPO 574's with 4-spd manual transmissions and 4.11 positraction rear ends. These cars used NASCAR engines and added tri-power carburetors and they were rated at 335 HP. This is probably the rarest Chevrolet on the planet. I can find no others in existence today. The car was professionally restored using all NOS parts including clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, a-frames, brake drums, and hub caps, a NOS rear glass, and all date-correct glass, to mention just a few. The detail on this car is simply spectacular, even the grille and bullets are original. The original grille was taken out the week the car was bought and replaced with a tube grille. When I purchased the car, the grille was still hanging on the wall, virtually brand new. The car has almost all original factory interior, with the exception of carpet in the front and rear, originally it was a rubber mat. I have all the documentation on the car and a signed letter of authenticity from the original owner, who is now deceased. The car was purchased in May of 1959 and still has the original engine block, the heads were replaced by the factory in June of 59. I purchased the car from the original owner in 1985. The car has never been driven since restoration, other than annually to keep things lubricated. It is in better than brand new condition. Try to find another 59 RPO 574, which even has NOS factory exhaust (this included resignators). It has been stored in environmentally controlled conditions since I restored it in the late 80s. It has no flaws whatsoever. If you want more information regarding the vehicle, call me, Ennis Lund at (605)351-4367. Since I know the complete history of the car since new, I can answer all of your questions. I can deliver this vehicle anywhere in the continental United States. Many more photos available, as well as a Youtube video!
