Vehicle Information Description Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this very decent E-type 2+2 for easy improvement. This car was just purchased from the state of Alabama being a Southern car for all of it's life. The seller is believed to be the car's third owner, the original owner being a lady and the second owner was a local college professor. The car came off the road in early 2001 with brake failure but all else was running fine with very good mechanicals. The current seller purchased the car last year, brought the car home and had the engine running healthily within an hour. He set about to rebuild the braking and fuel system and to get the Jaguar back on the road. There is an estimated $2500-3000 in new parts that are pictured and included with the sale of the car. The body on this car is very good to excellent. Panels align decently well with no door sag. The bonnet fit could use some fine tuning. The car is accident-free save for a small dent under the chin of the bonnet. It's very solid and completely rustfree except for some minor rust through on the lower bonnet mouth and a small spot on the outside of the driver's floor. Paintwork is older and showing fine blistering. Chromework all around, including the wire wheels, is actually very nice and would be suitable to go back on the car after some nice paintwork. Glass is great except for a windshield crack. The rear screen rubber became hard and fell apart, so the glass and chrome was removed. This car appears to have been well taken care of overall.
