CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
OK, so I'm in the doghouse for buying two antique motorcycles as winter projects (for the next 6 years). I could use the space the TR7 is taking up. I've had it for 15 years and just never had the time and money together to refurb or restore it. So now, I Work on bikes and vitage outboard motors. Any way, It could really use a good home. It's kind of like telling your 40 year old child you thought it was about time they find a place of their own and move out of your garage.A few things about it:* 2.0 Litre slant 4 engine* Canary yellow* All original* At the asking price, car comes with: NEW $425 top ready to be installed. (still in the box) New $89 spin on oil filter adapter New 13" tires with less than 500 miles on 'em (paid $350 for the set of four) 4 into 1 header 5 speed transmission (most were only a 4 spd) Original ENGINE ONLY if you want it (just pay the added shipping cost). This would keep all matching numbers.*** NO RUST! NO RUST! NO RUST! *** Not even in the boot behind the rear wheel.* The interior is in decent shape mfor being 41 years old.* No major dings or dents. But, since it was a California car, it has several small parking lot dings. Nothing major* Needs a little work. Will run if you feed it gas directly into the carbs. I think the floats are stuck. It ran fine when parked a year and a half ago.* Interior: Black & what TRIUMPH calls Bisquit (tan)* Has new in dash stereo/cd player that needs to be installed. I started but, ran out of time. Still comes with the original.* Has one small rock ding in the windshield. Easily filled.* The car was purchased in Sacramento,CA. by a guy who had it for a while and then sold it to another individual (17 Year old kid) who couldn't afford the payments and sold it to his mom who sold it to me. * Have almost all maintenance records and list of parts replaced and installed by professionals in California* Head gasket on original engine was beginning to leak so I swapped it out with a newer, lower mileage motor from a donor TR7 that got T-boned in the right rear. If you really want it, you can have the original engine for whatever it costs to ship it so you can have all matching numbers. Engine only! no transmission, no carbs, fan & fan clutch, radiator, etc., etc, etc. You've secretly always wanted one of these any way haven't you? Of course you have. Oh yeah, one more thing. It has factory installed air conditioning! A/C was a fairly spendy option back then. It will need to be pressure tested and refilled with R12 refrigerant. It just so happens I have enough R-12 on hand to do that; which, by the way, needs to be done by a licensed professional. ($35+ each for 12 oz. cans on Ebay) I'll toss in (4) 12 oz. cans to help sweeten the deal even more.I'm asking $2200 or Best Offer. Given what else is out there, I think this is a fair price especially with the $900+ in extras that go with it, not even counting the spare engine.DISCLAIMER: NOT RESPONCIBLE FOR SPOUSAL ALIENATION OF AFFECTION IF YOU BUY THIS CAR!Buyer is responsible for making arrangements for pick-up or shipping but, we will help as much as possible.Got Questions?
