This 1935 ford model 48 is a 3 window coupe that was purchased on 12/16/ 1936 from Wyoming Auto Company, in Wyoming , WV by it's second owner, and spent most of its life in the same County in West Virginia. I have traced the owners of this car all the way back to 1936 I have actually talked with their family members and got the complete history of the car. I still have their contact names and numbers. It was refinished in Wimbleton White with a two tone cloth interior and powered by a later 239ci flathead V8 w/ three-speed manual transmission. It has twin Stromberg carburetors, aluminum radiator, spin on oil filter conversion, Dolphin gauges, chrome tilt steering column with a leather wrapped banjo steering wheel, modern stereo with satellite radio and Bluetooth. I do have all the original parts, the steering column, the gauges, carburetor and manifold This Model 48 comes with owners manual, a 1936 bill of sale, and a loose leaf notebook with parts diagrams and receipts. I actually spoke to the second owners son, his father Hoyt purchased the car in December of 1936 for $495.00 and the car remained in the family for several decades. The story goes that the original owner was busted for selling moonshine and lost the car only after having it a few months ,.the dealer got it back and sold it to Hoyt. It's a beautiful car and it runs and drives great. Any questions let me know. THANKS BRUCE |
