Stock #: A443 Exterior Color: Viper Red/Matte Black Interior Color: Red Leather Transmission: Manual Fuel Type: Gas Engine: 292ci Blown Flathead Title Condition: Clear For avid Hot Rod lovers & aficionados, along w/ the 1932 Fords, the 1936 Ford Coupe will always be close to the top of the list as one of the most desirable body styles ever created in an American automobile factory. The body lines and overall flow of the car is just so aesthetically perfect, which was dutifully noted by Street Rod builders very early on.‘Red Hills Rods & Classics’ is very proud to offer you this one-of-a-kind, professionally built, rotisserie restored 1936 Ford 3-Window Coupe! This vehicle is an absolute show-stopper folks! Built by Tom Valiquette of ‘Toms Classy Customs’ in Idaho Falls, Idaho, Tom basically had an open ticket from his client to create what he perceived to be the ultimate 1936 Ford Coupe Street Rod, and let me be the first to say that he absolutely hit it out of the park! The project started out w/ a real Henry Ford steel ’36 Ford 3-Window Coupe that had been owned by the CEO of ‘Hot Wheels’, and restored in the 1970’s w/ little to no bondo whatsoever. The original 'Hot Wheels' sticker is still on the windshield for historical purposes. Tom then got to work stripping the entire body down to bare metal, and performing modifications that would set the car apart from most ’36 Ford Coupes that you will see out there. Features include: 1.5” chopped top, hand-made seamless one-piece front fenders w/ shaved horn perches, custom Alumicraft grille, smoothed 16-gauge steel running boards, double-insulated firewall, 1941 Chevrolet pickup headlights, modified taillight horns, flush mounted fuel door, etc., and the entire car was put back together using Nylock stainless steel nuts & bolts. The gorgeous paint job consists of a Viper Red base coat/clear coat on the fenders & running boards, and a single stage Matte Black finish on the rest of the body w/ a glossy black firewall. The brand of paint is Standox, which is one of the highest-quality products on the market today. A little bit of old school red & white pinstriping was done to the top of the grille and the rear deck, which looks excellent! The amazing contrast between the shiny Viper Red paint set against the semi-gloss Matte Black is extremely unique and absolutely pops! It is one of the most beautiful paint jobs that I have ever seen on a Hot Rod, period. This was a complete nut & bolt rotisserie restoration, so the undercarriage/chassis is as beautiful as the topside of the car. Finished in a glossy black paint, chassis features include: Heidts Superride front suspension, Heidts 4-Link rear suspension, Strange Engineering adjustable shocks, custom stainless-steel exhaust system w/ Flowmaster Hushpower mufflers, 8.5” Ford rear-end w/ 3.55 gears, etc. The rear axle & driveshaft are finished in matching Viper Red, which really pops against the glossy black floors & frame. Please look closely at the undercarriage photos to see how much attention to detail was put into this gorgeous Coupe. She also has the perfect stance, sitting on 16” matte black steel wheels w/ chrome dog-dish hubcaps & chrome beauty rings wrapped in wide-whitewall radial tires. You can walk around this car a hundred times and you will not find a bad angle. Pure ‘Eye-Candy’ is the best way to describe it.Open the driver’s door and you will find an absolutely gorgeous custom red leather interior by Robert Brown of Idaho Falls, Idaho, w/ features that include: red leather adjustable split-back bench seat, matching red leather door panels, headliner & rear compartment area, Viper Red dashboard w/ full set of Classic Instruments black-face gauges, chrome Flaming River steering column w/ a wrapped billet 4-spoke steering wheel, Lokar 24” shifter w/ Spitfire Wheels shift knob, billet pedals, power rear window, original crank-open windshield & cowl vent, and custom Pioneer sound system including Pioneer CD-MR80D remote-control receiver, (2) Pioneer amplifiers, (2) Pioneer 5.25” coaxial speakers in the kick panels, (2) Pioneer 6 x 9 triaxial speakers in the rear deck, & Pioneer sub-woofer hidden in the rear compartment. Besides being absolutely beautiful, the custom interior is extremely comfortable and highly functional in every way. All of the electrical components, gauges, lights, blinkers, etc. work perfectly and the sound system is amazing! Hit the switch for the electric trunk hatch and you will a trunk compartment that is beautifully finished in matching red leather & red carpeting w/ embossed V8 logo & flames on the side panels. Now, let’s get to the heart of this amazing Hot Rod, shall we?This gorgeous Ford Coupe is powered by a Blown 292ci Ford French Flathead V8 motor built by Arden Beal, renown Bonneville Salt Flats racer & Ford Flathead specialist. Features include: polished Baron aluminum heads, polished GM 371 blower, (2) polished Speedway Stromberg-style SP-10 carburetors, chrome Flathead alternator & alternator bracket, Walker radiator w/ thermostat controlled spal fan, and lots polished & chrome components everywhere that meets the eye. This Blown Flattie is an absolute show-piece, and everyone who sees it stands there w/ their jaw on the floor - but the best thing about it is the way it runs & performs. The motor is linked to a Tremec T5 5-speed transmission, which feeds power to the Ford 8.5” rear-end w/ 3.55 gears. She fires up instantly w/ the flick of the wrist (even when cold) and idles nice & smooth, but when it’s time to go, she GOES! Flathead motors are not really known for their overwhelming power, but this particular motor absolutely blew my mind when I drove the car! She is super-quick & highly responsive in every way! The Tremec T-10 5-speed transmission shifts as smooth as silk through all five gears w/ no hangups or clunkiness whatsoever. Another aspect that absolutely amazed me was how smoothly the car drives w/ no vibrations, rattles or unwanted noises. You can take your hands off of the steering wheel @ 70mph and she tracks straight & true down the road. It is one of the finest driving Hot Rods that I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. This is a professionally built, high-end street rod that will pull down First Place awards at any national level event that you decide to enter, but it can also be driven and enjoyed to the fullest. When you factor in the no-expense spared nut & bolt rotisserie restoration, the gorgeous color combination, the luxurious red leather interior, and the highly-desirable blown Flathead V8 motor, you would be hard pressed to find a finer example of a 1936 Ford 3-Window Coupe anywhere @ any price!
