| 1967 Chrysler Newport Convertible, 2nd owner. I bought this car from original owner in 2017. It had sat in barn for many years. (I have pics). This car is on 1 of around 4000 made in 1967. I am sure not many of them still exist. I drive it a least once a week. She gets a lot of attention. THE GOOD: New Tires, New Brakes (Master Cylinder to Shoes), New wheel bearing, New Belts, New Hoses, New top end motor gaskets including new thermostat. New trunk carpet, Reconditioned original top, very nice parade boot, New covered backseat, new front shocks, new gas lines. THE NOT SO GOOD: Carpet mold, Rear shock, 3 trim pieces around headlights missing, passenger side window is difficult, speedometer stopped working, power top is not working properly, Dipstick tube needs replaced. Paint has a few imperfections. Original motor has never been rebuilt. Makes a little noise but runs great. I really dont want to sell the car but need to work on other projects. Call me and we can discuss her. She really is a nice survivor. My plans were to rebuild the motor (add 4 barrel carb) Convert to front disc brakes. Haggerty puts this car in excellent condition at $24,700 and good at $17,300. I think she is somewhere between. So at excellent value at $16,000. | |
